Post-doctoral Position in Functional Neuroimaging and Alcoholism
at the IndianaAlcohol Research Center and Center for Neuroimaging.
NIH funded research in our Center uses fMRI and PET to study the human
cerebral and limbic response to alcohol and alcohol-related
chemosensory cues in social and abusive/dependent drinkers, as well as
the genetic influences on these responses. The fellow in our lab will
conduct ongoing imaging projects, publish current data, and help
design future experiments. Imaging facilities at the Indiana Center
for Neuroimaging (www.neuroimaging.medicine.iu.edu)
include two human research magnets (GE Signa 1.5T, Siemens 3.0T Tim
Trio), as well as a Siemens HR+ PET scanner.
Applicants should have (or expect to have) a Ph.D. or equivalent in
psychology, cognitive/ behavioral neuroscience, neuropsychology, or
related areas.
A background in functional neuroimaging and image analysis is
desirable, as is a working knowledge of SPM5 and E-Prime software, and
the Linux environment.
