A position is available for a full-time, 2 to 3 years term, Post-Doctoral Fellow fully funded by the ANR on the project "Multisensory neglect and extinction” at Inserm U864 in Lyon (France).
Job description:
Our team explores competitive phenomena within uni- and multi-sensory (visuo-tactile) perception. We combine fMRI and fMRI-guided TMS in healthy human subjects with TMS-based approaches to help brain-damaged patients suffering from neglect and extinction. The successful candidate will join the Avenir “Multisensory Space & Action” Team, a highly active group within the INSERM Unit 864 in several areas of cognitive neurosciences including multisensory perception, attention, and motor control. He/she will have access to the research facilities and equipment available in the laboratory including behavioural - psychophysical testing, eye-tracking systems, TMS, stereotaxic neuro-navigation system, TDCs, and 3D motion-tracking system.
The post-holder will be responsible for (1) the design, conduct, analysis and writing of studies in conjunction with the Principal Investigators, (2) disseminating the results at international conferences and (3) participating to the scientific activity of the research group and laboratory (conferences, seminars, journal clubs).
Requirements:
We are seeking a post-doctoral scientist experienced in autonomous scientific work. He/she will have a solid background in neuropsychology or cognitive psychology and experience in functional imaging and/or TMS techniques, or a strong motivation to learn functional imaging and/or TMS techniques.
